The defensive-position sandbag from MyPortal Studios adds a small, versatile decorative object to military dioramas and other model scenes. It is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22,5, 1:24, 1:32, and 1:35, and can be arranged on its own or together with additional pieces.

The object rests flat, with a gently curved top and rounded ends. Visible creases and seams, together with the irregular, yielding-looking surface, give the impression of a filled sack made from coarse fabric. It is suited to defensive positions and makeshift cover; for example, several sandbags can be arranged to create a small barrier.

Depending on the scale, different settings and scenes are suitable for your display:

  • 1:18: In a garage diorama, as part of improvised cover at the edge of a recreated action scene.
  • 1:20: In a military diorama, as a row of sandbags in front of a small guard post at the entrance to the position.
  • 1:22,5: In a landscape model scene, as a makeshift barrier beside a field path at the edge of a defensive position.
  • 1:24: In a ship diorama, as part of a protected position on the quay, near the entrance to a storage area.
  • 1:32: In a Gauge 1 landscape scene, as low cover at the edge of a station square in a military-themed diorama.
  • 1:35: In a vehicle diorama, as stacked cover at a street corner beside a military vehicle.

Product Notes

The support structures remain on the figures for safe transport. These can be removed with fine pliers or carefully by hand. The figures can be gently heated with a hair dryer to facilitate release. Further information can be found in the FAQs .
