The sandbag barrier by MyPortal Studios adds a compact defensive position to military dioramas and other model scenes. This unpainted decorative model is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22.5, 1:24, 1:32, and 1:35.
Several tightly filled sandbags are stacked in a staggered arrangement, forming a low fortification with irregularly tapering sides. A lowered section and loose bags placed in front and to the side break up the arrangement. Visible fabric textures, seams, and slightly deformed surfaces give the design a weathered appearance—well suited to a position in a military scene.
Depending on the scale, the barrier can be incorporated into a variety of model settings. These suggestions show possible scenes and placements:
- 1:18: As a roadblock at the edge of a military diorama, beside a model car roadway.
- 1:20: As a makeshift defensive line at the entrance to an architectural model construction site.
- 1:22.5: At the transition between track and landscape on a garden railway, protecting a small station.
- 1:24: As cover at the edge of a military diorama, near a damaged wall.
- 1:32: As a fortified observation point in a Gauge 1 landscape, positioned at a bend in the road.
- 1:35: As a position beside a vehicle wreck in a plastic model diorama.

Product Notes
The support structures remain on the figures for safe transport. These can be removed with fine pliers or carefully by hand. The figures can be gently heated with a hair dryer to facilitate release. Further information can be found in the FAQs .
