The single-tube fluorescent light from MyPortal Studios adds a simple ceiling or wall light to dioramas and model-building interiors. It is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22,5, 1:24, 1:32, and 1:35 and is suitable as an unpainted furnishing detail for workshop, residential, and building scenes.
The model features an elongated, rectangular light housing enclosing a single continuous fluorescent tube. Slim end caps, mounts, and fine fastening details define its simple, functional form. The surface captures the structure of the light housing; the motif is particularly suited to plainly furnished interiors such as basements, garages, and workshops.
The light can be placed in different model-building backdrops depending on the scale. The following ideas are suggestions for suitable scenes:
- 1:18: In a garage diorama, above the work surface in a collector’s workshop, beside a model car display case.
- 1:20: In a miniature setting, as a ceiling light above the central worktable in a small repair room.
- 1:22,5: In a garden railway station scene, on the ceiling of a simple waiting shelter, near the bench.
- 1:24: In a dollhouse, as a wall light in the basement hallway, above a narrow workbench.
- 1:32: In a 1-gauge landscape, on the ceiling of a small service building, directly above the entrance to the storeroom.
- 1:35: In a workshop scene, as a ceiling light above the assembly area of a vehicle diorama.

Product Notes
The support structures remain on the figures for safe transport. These can be removed with fine pliers or carefully by hand. The figures can be gently heated with a hair dryer to facilitate release. Further information can be found in the FAQs .
